WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?
Hyaluronic acid, also known as hyaluronan or hyaluronate, is a naturally occurring substance within the human body. It can often be found throughout a person’s skin, cartilage, muscles and tendons. For this reason, it has long been of interest to cosmetic medical doctors. It is also common and appropriate for use in skincare products, providing hydration to the skin.
When we are young, the hyaluronic acid levels in our skin are relatively high, which promotes that suppleness and elasticity to our skin. However, as we age our body begins to produce less and less amount of hyaluronic acid. This can be caused by various factors including exposure to the damaging elements of the environment, particularly UV rays from the sun.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT DURING MY FILLER APPOINTMENT?
Step 1: Evaluation
First you will speak to the injector who will be performing the procedure. You will go over what you are looking to achieve, and start by evaluating your face to closely inspect the target areas.
Step 2: Outline the Plan
Once the initial details have been discussed, your injector will then pinpoint the areas that are to be injected. These points will be chosen very careful, since this, along with the amount of product and technique applied to administer the product, are crucial in achieving a successful and desired amount.
Step 3: Prepping the Area
After the area of injection has been closely examined and specified, your injector will then thoroughly clean the area and apply numbing cream, if necessary.
Step 4: The Injection
Using a fresh syringe that is preloaded with product, your injector will then administer the desired and specific amount into the appropriate areas of the skin. Each area should take no more than just a few seconds, making it a quick injection process.
Step 5: Finished!
Once the injections are completed, your injector will then provide you with some post-care instructions that should be followed in order to expedite the recovery process. At this point you are now free to go home or back to work and continue on with your day as usual.
WHAT AREAS CAN TEOSYAL FILLER TREAT?

How Does JUVEDERM work?
The primary ingredient of Juvederm injections is hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a substance that loves water, making it the perfect ingredient as your skin is made up of about 70% water. An injection of Juvederm into any problem area of the face introduces fresh HA into your skin.
