What Lip Filler is Right For Me?
Each hyaluronic acid filler has a different concentration of hyaluronic acid in order to achieve different outcomes, based on the treatment area. If the injected product has a hyaluronic acid concentration that is too high for your lips, it can create an unattractive white ridge around the top section of the lip. This is because hyaluronic acid fillers pull moisture and surrounding water to the injection site. This white ridge is a direct result of the hyaluronic acid, pulling too much water to the desired area.
All injectable fillers being used for the lip area need to be composed hyaluronic acid. Never let an injector inject a product that is not a hyaluronic acid-based filler. These types of fillers are reversible and can be fixed if any issues arise.
Lastly, it is extremely important to find a product that provides a level of elasticity. Our mouths and lip area move quite regularly, so a product that moves with them is needed to provide natural looking results.
