Morning Exercise To Beat Food Cravings

If you just can’t stop bingeing on unhealthy foods while you’re on your weight loss program, this may interest you:

According to a recent study conducted by Brigham Young University in Utah, working out in the morning may help you get rid of food cravings the rest of the day, so you can maintain your CoolSculpting results. The researchers found that exercising at a moderate to vigorous rate for at least 45 minutes in the morning decreased appetite.

To obtain their findings, a group of 35 participants were examined, all women. The women were shown images of food right after they took a brisk walk for 45 minutes on a treadmill. Their brain responses were measured, and the researchers found that reactions decreased in intensity following the workout. For the rest of the day, the women were also asked to record their food consumption and activity levels in a diary, and once again, food intake was lower than usual. Surprisingly, however, the women recorded higher rates of physical activity as well!

Could this mean the end of fatty, sugary treats and a more active lifestyle? Maybe – we’re going to try this out and see if it’s true for us!
