I thought I would quickly share some detoxing juice recipes with you, since it’s Spring – the season of detoxing. I try to drink a smoothie every morning for breakfast and I’ve been mixing up the recipes a little according to my diet. I’ve even added another drink in the evening to replace my coffee. It can be done ladies! Why not give some a try or experiment to see what works for you?
Green Juice Recipe:
Makes about 16-20 oz of juice depending on your juicer/size of produce.
- 1 bunch of kale
- 4 stalks of celery
- 1 cucumber
- 2 granny smith apples
- 1/2 a lemon
- 1 inch ginger root
Beet Juice Recipe:
- 1/2 lemon, zest and pith removed
- 2 large carrots
- 1 large apple, cut into wedges
- 1″ piece of ginger
- Large Beet, 2 medium beets, cut into wedges
Joyful Smoothie Recipe
- 4 tbsp hemp seeds
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup frozen organic raspberries
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1.5 cup hemp milk (or use almond or brown rice milk)
- 1.5 cup coconut water
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups (loosely packed) spinach
- Some ice
I swear by my ginger tea in the evening to replace my coffee fix and I don’t even miss my caffeine. Enjoy :)
