Spring is here! Some of us will be thinking ahead to the summer, towards sandy beaches, sunshine and getting into shape for our holidays. So a lot of us are thinking about a spring clean whether that is losing weight or just cleaning up our diet and making our habits healthier.

Here are 10 small changes you can make to your day to help clean out the system and make for a healthier you no matter what choices you want to make.

  1. Get your beauty sleep
    The simple step that is vital, lack of sleep can result in stress, loss of brain function and memory, which in turn can make your skin sallow, increase dark shadows and overall put you in a bad mood.
  2. Try to get 30 minutes of exercise daily
    It doesn’t have to be at the gym, walking, gardening, dancing and even cleaning are all forms of exercise. It will also improve your mood and make you feel better in yourself.
  3. Eat well and practice mindful eating
    It is an obvious statement but so many of us are so busy we don’t take the time to think about what we are eating.
  4. Use sunscreen daily
    Get a really good moisturizer with a minimum of SPF 30, regardless if it rains, hails or snows outside make sure you put it on.
  5. Take time to relax
    Easier said then done but try to get time to unwind to do something that makes you happy, even if it’s just 20mins a day.
  6. Keep hydrated
    Keep a bottle of water handy throughout your day.
  7. Feed your mind
    Do something different every once in a while, routine is great but it gets boring. Go to a show, art gallery, festival, concert or take a day trip to see some where new.
  8. Drink hot water and lemon every morning
    It will boost immune system, clear skin, balance pH levels and help with weight loose. All that from something so simple.
  9. Brush and Floss
    Yes we have all heard it before but try to do it twice a day, one in the morning and once a night before you go to bed.
  10. Smile
    Spring is here and Summer is coming!
