University of Texas researchers say that when men are searching for a long term partner, it’s your face that counts more than your body. For short term relationships, it’s the opposite: they’re more interested in your body.
The study, conducted on 375 university students, depended on previous research that found a longer-term fertility state was more apparent in the face, while the body generally provided insight into only a shorter-term reproductive value.
Female participants, on the other hand, were different in their selection of a long-term partner. They had no preference between the face or the body.
