And in other news…

In a beauty contest for camels that takes place annually in Saudi Arabia, twelve camels were disqualified for getting Botox and filler injections. They were disqualified after a vet was caught giving them injections to alter their appearance.

The beauty of a camel is based on the shape of their ears, which should be delicate, and their snout, which should be large and complimentary to the rest of their face. Their lips should also be big. Injections were administered to the camels’ lips, jaw and snout.

The camel beauty contest is a festival that lasts a month and involves up to 30,000 participants. The winning camel gets a whopping $31.8m (£22.6m) in prize money.
