Where can Fotona® 4D be used?
Each one of the 4 laser modes is unique:
The SMOOTH Mode is conducted on the inside of the oral cavity. This non-ablative laser provides a controlled and gentle “bulk-heating” to stimulate collagen contraction as well as the stimulation of new collagen fibers. The primary target during this step are the nasolabial folds, which get a nice plumping effect from the inside out, similar to a filler.
The FRAC3 Mode uses a fractional beam that targets deeper imperfections to restore a youthful texture and tone to the skin.
The PIANO Mode is a safe and fast bulk tissue heating from the outside in by concentrating energy delivery subcutaneously. The bulk heating is used to tighten the skin.
The SupErficial Mode is used lastly to improve the appearance of the skin and reduce imperfections with an extremely controlled light peel. This give the skin a smoother pearl finish.

The Fotona 4D Laser offers a groundbreaking non-surgical facelift, targeting skin laxity, wrinkles, volume loss, and uneven tone & texture. Utilizing advanced Nd:YAG and Er:YAG wavelengths, it delivers four-dimensional treatment by addressing deep, medial, and superficial skin structures simultaneously. This results in collagen contraction for long-lasting tightening and volume restoration.
Fotona Laser 4D treatment suggests 3-4 sessions for Optimal results, 14-21 days apart, with touch-up sessions every 6 months. Each session typically ranges from $400-$600.
Patients typically notice immediate improvements in brightness and texture after each session, lasting an average of 5-6 months post-treatment. For optimal results, it’s recommended to undergo 3-4 sessions spaced 2 to 3 weeks apart. After six months, a touch-up session can be scheduled, which can be repeated twice a year to maintain results for as long as desired.
The Fotona Laser 4D treatment is completely painless and non-invasive. Using heat to stimulate collagen, the lasers gently pass a few centimeters above the skin, providing a warm and relaxing sensation.
The Fotona Laser 4D procedure consists of four steps. First, the SMOOTH mode, known as SmoothLiftin, is a painless oral rejuvenation treatment that stimulates collagen contraction and new collagen fibers inside the oral cavity. Next, FRAC3 and PIANO steps involve the laser bypassing outer skin layers to gradually stimulate collagen synthesis and tighten the skin. Finally, Superficial Mode offers a controlled light peel to enhance skin appearance and reduce imperfections.
Following the treatment, most patients notice initial improvements, with further enhancement occurring gradually over the subsequent 6 to 8 weeks.
Each session typically lasts between 45 to 60 minutes, offering a comfortable experience without any required downtime following the procedure.
Right after the treatment, patients might notice some temporary redness or mild swelling, which usually subsides quickly. Immediate rejuvenation, tightening, and a glowing effect can be observed, with minimal to no downtime following the procedure.
Although the outcomes are long-lasting, they are not considered permanent. For maintaining the effects, periodic touch-up sessions are advised, and these can be scheduled up to twice a year to ensure continued satisfaction with the results.
