Now here’s a study published in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery that may be of interest to anyone who’s been blamed for not smiling, when they actually are!
Researchers have found that a bit of BOTOX® injected into strategic locations around the mouth can help gently elevate the corners. You may not think that ptosis of the mouth’s corners is a big deal, but it is! As we all know, skin sags with age, and facial features are not exempt from this rule. The shape of the mouth (as well as the earlobes, the tip of the nose, eyebrows and the area around the eyes) will droop, which makes the finding of this research so important for all of us concerned with how age negatively affects our appearance.
If you’re in your latter years, you’ve most likely already noticed how your mouth has changed shape, and not just how your lips have thinned. The overall shape has changed as well, drooping at the edges to make you look like you’re frowning all the time. Thankfully, this research has proven yet again how useful BOTOX® can be in rejuvenating the face! Talk to us to find out more about a Toronto BOTOX® procedure.
